I don't mind reading on my ipad when lying in bed. I don't mind reading on my iphone when sitting on the train.
But my Kindle recently died (see another thread), and I realise that I can't sit with my ipad in the garden on a sunny day and read, nor around the pool, I can't sit in our sun room, even on a cloudy day. The tablet screens are too reflective making it uncomfortable to read, and in some cases impossible to see the text.
My quite sizeable paper library is now just a show piece as my aging eyes make it uncomfortable to read certain paperbacks with their "micro" fonts
I do believe dedicated ereaders have earned a place in our homes
