Mr. Shiner is a wonderful author whose talent went largely unnoticed during the "Great Cyberpunk Boom" of the mid-to-late 80's. There's not a bad book in the whole batch, but I personally recommend
Glimpses, a very personal Rock 'n Roll alternate reality novel that pulls a lot of the same heartstrings as Ken Grimwood's
Replay.
