FFF has a feature in the personal.ini tab: Pass Calibre Columns into FanFicFare on Update/Overwrite. When enabled, that will pass existing Calibre columns into FFF's update process. There's a button to show you what they will all look like inside FFF.

You should be able to use those in generate_cover_settings settings.

However, there's a significant limitation: those are the values before FFF's update has run. If you change or set those column values during the FFF update, the new values will not be visible inside FFF until the next update.
