Hello, I've tried to look around for this but I didn't find a solution.
I'm a train driver, and I've always carried a book with me for the pauses between trains in my shifts. I recently acquired a Kindle, I thought it might be convenient because of its small size and light weight. And it is. So now I'm thinking of more ways to use it.
One thing that would be SUPER useful to me, is a way to keep a page with the timetable for my train, on screen, for the whole trip, without having to turn it on and off.

The best way would be to create a personal document with the timetable, and have the Kindle leave the last page read on screen when it goes to sleep.
Alternatively, I could use the same personal document, but set the "sleep timeout" to 3 hours at least, which would be enough for my trains.
Alternatively, I could (if it's possible) create "fake books" where the timetable I need is the cover, and have the screensaver set to show the cover of the last book read.
But I could find no way to do any of these things on my Kindle (it's a 6th gen with a 5.12.2.1.1 firmware, so it's probably non-jailbreakable).
Is there maybe another way to do what I need? Or alternatively, could you recommend another ebook reader that can do what I need, even if not Amazon (as I haven't invested in a Kindle library yet, and would actually prefer a more open platform), as long as it's technologically comparable to the Paperwhite - i.e. small and light, reasonably fast, good screen with backlight etc...

PS - I did find a way on another device, but it's not convenient enough. It's a very old, obsolete, ONDA biblet reader. It has a small physical switch hidden under a cover on the back, which brutally disconnects the battery from the device, which will then retain what's on screen indefinitely. But that means rebooting everytime, and I suppose it's not good for the device, either.
