From the BoM rain radar, it looks like the ugly, yellow blob that crossed the coast stalled just ever so slightly inland, and now it looks like a stream of wet from the northwest is filling the blob up until its cup runneth over, and it spills back towards us, apparently, from the sound now coming, bringing some thunder with it.

(The link in the above won't mean much if you don't go to it within a reasonable time of posting this, as everything may have moved on or changed)

From 9am up to 1pm today, we've had 63mm/2.5" of rain which is a reasonable drop, and enough to cancel flights to Sunshine Coast airport. It's a coolish (with the wind) 24C/75F. It's just gusty now though - no rain. We'll see if the rain comes back...
