Sorry you took offence but when a simple "database corruption kobo site:mobileread.com" search on Google comes up with multiple hits and much information on the causes of database corruption and suggestions on how to avoid it, it is hard not to believe that in this day and age, someone would not do a search before asking a question.

It seems you're looking for anything to criticise, David.
The bold is used for people to get to the essence of what is being said.
The colour is used either to differentiate things from each other or to highlight points that are the most important of all.

Both actually take me MORE time but are done to help others.
To me, they were unnecessary and annoying. As for being helpful? Much like posting in all caps, I suspect very few would consider them as helpful.
