Almost 100% of my ebooks are put there by me. I think there was a user guide.
I've bought books from four places OTHER than Kobo. I've never bought a book from Kobo, but if I did I'd be putting it on the ereader.
I've downloaded to PC any books I've bought from Amazon, but if I used their direct transfer it would still be me.

My Grandchildren have most of their ebooks put on by me and wife has all of her ebooks on her laptop and our server. I've sourced most of the PD ones and use Calibre for her as she can't be bothered, despite using computers for years and teaching me programming.

I think your question is poorly formulated and the actual poll is missing. Sorry!

I've never heard of an ebook supplier put other than a user guide and dictionaries without the ereader owner deciding to put a book or magazine on!
