Good lord you really don’t listen do you.

Any Kobo purchased books which are stripped of DRM (something anyone here who side loads them does) are treated as side loaded books.

And I’m fairly sure I mentioned this, and I’m confident any forum regular will agree, mobile reads members are not indicative of the general ereadering population. We’re a small niche of an already niche group.

Since you claim to love logic so much here’s some evidence. If companies such as Amazon, Kobo, or B&N found they made just as much money from content sales by allowing other storefronts directly on their devices why wouldn’t they charge those companies a small fee to sell on their devices.

Here’s the thing most consumers take the path of least resistance. Give them a device with a single storefront built in and that’s the one they’ll use. It’s when you give them options that you as a company start to lose sales. And please save any anti consumer complaints, if you think you have a case contact a lawyer and get them to file a class action lawsuit (you’ll easily meet the number of afflicted people as it’s everyone with an eink Nook, Kindle, or Kobo at the least). And should you do that please let us know the lawyers reaction. I’d ask for the judges reaction but I’d be surprised if even the most crackpot lawyer would take such a case.
