I tried that now - no, swipe up doesn't help. It looks like the home button actually closes the notification, brings me to "home", but just doesn't redraw the new state. I tried to summon the Task manager with a swipe, and it didn't draw that one too - although last time I did that it did.

1) Earlier, I tried to uninstall things with System App Remover. This lead me to inability to boot. I so restored the system.img with edl and didn't try to uninstall since then.

2) Among system files, I only swapped Lock.ogg and Unlock.ogg with each other in /system/product/media/audio/ui/ (but the issues started before that, I think). Everything else is stock, with some apps "pm disable"d.
