I have little interest in military sci-fi (I'm not against it, just not a fan). But the underlaying story on this one sounds very interesting.

On the other hand, this part of a review: "...I hit a detailed history of why marines used a greeny colour for their helmet. I was so disinterested I cannot remember the colour and I only read it 2 minutes ago. Mr Douglas has obviously a great love of the military and all things concerning muzzel velocity etc of armaments. Unfortunately I don't unless the detail helps the story along..." makes me second guess.
