Cross-post to the main thread for info on the University of Chicago 75% off all e-books sale, on from Aug 16-23.

University of Chicago publishes the Judge Dee series by Richard van Gulik (loosely based on a real historical character), the first three titles in Margaret Doody's enjoyable Aristotle Detective (yes, that Aristotle) series, and a good chunk (maybe all) of Richard Stark's Parker series (Stark was a pen name for Donald E Westlake).

The Doody books go on sale for $1.99 from time to time, so you probably shouldn't get them directly from UChi via this sale. But the van Gulik books rarely go on sale, and I doubt you'll do better. I don't watch the Stark books, so can't offer an opinion on those.
