If you are using calibre, you have no control over the directory structure or the file names in the library. You can control the file name when using send-to-device or save-to-disk. This is done using the save templates for the functions.

Which come back to the question of what you are trying to do. Where are you trying to sort the files? If they are in calibre, then you can't change anything, but sorting the file does not make sense.

As to the FFF CLI, I can't help a I don't use it. I'm barely aware it exists.
