The Cycle of Fire series by Janny Wurts is on sale in an omnibus for $2.99 at Amazon US. The three included books are Stormwarden, Keeper of the Keys and Shadowfane. It's been a while since I read these but I remember enjoying them.

She may be best known to some folks as a collaborator with Raymond Feist on his Daughter of the Empire trilogy.
