Given what I've seen in my retail job, I'm pretty sure that people with the first quite frequently don't have the second yet still end up running companies.
I have an undergraduate degree and a doctorate. I've been a professor and am currently managing a law office of 12 attorneys. Some of the most "eDuCATed" people I know are absolute morons. One of them has had covid, gave it to her two children and is still salty at being asked to wear a mask again.

Smartest women in my office are the two single moms with high school educations.
