Not quite sure how I managed it, but something I did worked.
Might have been the pushing the power button four times in a row (something I read somewhere) as that was the last thing I did before it restarted.
However, it might have been something else as I tried going into all the various menus to see if anything looked correct.
Anyhow, I think I'll leave all the clever stuff to people that know what they're doing in the future.
