Kindle 4 stuck in Diagnostics mode.
Hi there,
I found this forum through a search on how to exit diagnostics mode.
How did I get there in the first place?
All I wanted to do was add the ability to put custom screensavers.
Followed an 'easy' guide on YouTube and added an ENABLE_DIAGS txt file.
Did the reboot, tried following the guide using putty, but it didn't work.
Decided to give up as it was all clearly above my pay grade (i.e. I didn't have a clue what I was doing) and now I'm stuck in diagnostic mode and can't get out.
For the record, it says TEQUILA 1.0.6.211 - if that's any help.
I've tried following a few threads, but most of the answers come from developers - and assume at least a basic knowledge of what to do.
I have no knowledge - other than the hindsight that I should have left it all well enough alone.
If anyone can link me to guide and walk me through the instructions to exit diagnostics and just get it all back to normal, I'd be very grateful.
Thanks.
