Also, if the timing starts going astray, you can reset it to re-learn your reading speed. I'm not sure how this is done for an Oasis, but for a Paperwhite, do a search for
;ReadingTimeReset
from within a book. Your kindle should show no results. Return to reading and your kindle will say "Learning Reading Speed". This will correct any errors which have crept in to the timings.

I was given this information by some kind person on MR many moons ago, I forget who. I keep the info on my kindle.
