On the Amazon page Manage Your Content and Devices under More Actions for each book is Download & Transfer via USB but it's no longer downloading the book to my PC. No idea if this is a temporary glitch or whatever. It still brings up the little window saying "Transfer Tip: After downloading, use your USB cable to connect your computer and Kindle. Your Kindle will appear as a drive on your computer. Copy your downloaded file from your computer to your Kindle's documents folder."
After I select my kindle and click the Download button I get a little window saying "Success Download your Kindle content to your computer via Your Media Library." I can't remember what it said when it was working.
But my computer never gets the file, and I never get the little bell when the download finishes, and the firefox window that shows all downloads doesn't show it.
I have no idea what they mean by "Your Media Library".
I searched with google and found this answer:

I seems that Chrome and Firefox have recently made some changes that prevent the downloads for security reasons.
I've installed Microsoft Edge just for downloading my kindle books and will get rid of it as soon as Amazon catches up and fixed things on their end.

from 8 months or so ago, but sure enough, I'm able to download the books with Edge.
So not the end of the world but hopefully Amazon will fix this soon.
