I always thought the idea of Spotify was stupid, then I got two months & a free Google Home Mini for ~$5 and tried it out while I had it. I've remained subscribed ever since, because it turns out it works better for me than maintaining my own music library did.
They certainly got their money's worth out of that Home Mini.
