Hi there,
I have an
Kobo Aura H2O - N250 and I had to change the battery after really good services. I found
the correct one on AliExpress and did the fix quite easily. The battery connector wasn't totally identical but it's been easy to adapt it and plug it to the motherboard.
Everything worked fine but for some reason I didn't use it right away.
Some months after, I came back on it ready to read new ebooks! But the battery was empty. So I put it on charge and got a bad surprise:
- The battery meter directly jump to 100%
- Once I unplugged it, the battery meter drops to its initial charge.
I tested it multiple times, let it in charge one day but nothing works. The battery looks dead again.
So I order
another one again from a different seller and with more good comments. I replace it again. And this time the battery came with 70% of charge and keeps its charge perfectly. Until today, the battery is still at 65%.
BUT same issue again:
- Plugged, the battery meter jump to 100%
- Unplugged, it drops to 70%-65%, its initial charge.
The problem doesn't seems to come from the batteries but from something else. But what??
I, of course, already reset the software to its initial stage without success. I also did all the updates without more good news... I checked the net and forums but didn't found any informations about this kind of issue...
What can be the problem?
- Is it a software issue? And the calibration goes wrong because of it?
- Should I just use it longer enough to let the calibration be better?
- Is the battery model finally not compatible?
I'm open to any suggestions to try to definitively fix this bug! I've tons of ebooks to read now :'(
