There is the new display technology that was announced earlier this year. Whether it will be use in Kobo next eReader is anybody guess.

As the recently released Elipsa has a non standard eReader display size, Kobo's next eReader will be back to 6-7 inches. It depends on if this new display technology will also help reduce the eReader bezel.
