You can pick any firmware <= 5.13.3, but you can't go back. I would say pick the lowest firmware that has every feature you need or want, but further suggest you try 5.10.3 and see if it works well for you. If not, you can always go to a higher version. I strongly advise against going any higher than 5.11.x, but there have been people happy with 5.12.x or even 5.13.x

I just found out that for the KT2, apparently there is a jailbreak for 5.6.5 that persists through updates? Am I better off going to 5.6.5, jailbreaking, then updating from there? Or does it stop persisting through a certain version?
