I have sent you a PM with the link to the image to try. You should be fine with a 32GB card in this device.

I don't think it is the battery. If it was, it should start when plugged into power.

The computer not seeing the device is expected. They do not automatically present themselves to the computer. This is done by software and will prompt to do it.
