Amazon Downloads not showing up

Tonight I attempted to download two new books and one old book (> 1 year) I purchased from Amazon (download and transfer via USB). When I attempted to load to Calibre I could not locate the files in my download folder (M1 MacBook Pro). This is my standard method of side loading into Calibre for transfer to my Kobos. I have done this for years. I noticed the Amazon Device and Content management screen has changed. Did Amazon change something? i got a message from Amazon that the download was successful and now I could connect my Kindle to transfer. I have run into issues in the past when the file name is too long (file is there but can’t be highlighted). In that case I rename. For the current issue I simply cannot find the files. I have chosen “all files”. Is it possible they are hidden?
I successfully downloaded “Forget the Alamo” less than two weeks ago.
Thanks,
Joe
