Getting into bootloader and recovery is bad enough on devices with lots of buttons.
I don't know the Poke Pro, but the Poke3 only has power switch and the Hall effect sensor for the magnetic cover.

In worst case EDL mode can fix whatever is broken but it will take some expertise.
