My serial number is B024 0000 0000 0000

According to wiki, this is Paperwhite 1. I presume its safe to update to firmware 5.6.1.1?

What about other apps, like KOReader, KUAL, etc? Can I just copy archive in /extensions folder, overwriting old one?
