I watched the "first" season of Upload, on Amazon Prime, last year. It came out just as the pandemic was shutting things down. It got the okay for a second season, but things dragged on. My understanding is that the second season has finally been finished and should be available either by the end of this year or early next year. (I'll have to re-watch the first season before I start the second.)

The series is set in a near future where people who die can have their personalities "uploaded" to a virtual reality. The quality of this afterlife is, of course, governed by how much you can afford. We do get a glimpse of the really cheap accomodations.

Several episodes into the series a new plot element was added. It's perfectly logical, and yet I never saw it coming. I'm really looking forward to season 2!

As an aside, much of the series was filmed at the Mohonk Mountain House, in New York state. When the kids were younger we made a couple of trips there. The scenery is pretty spectacular.
