I've had my final laser treatment on blood vessels in my retinas (probably 8 sessions or so across both eyes, cataract surgery on both eyes (Right eye in January 2021, Left eye late 2019), only to learn today there is swelling in my right retina and that will require injections to treat.

All this on top of wearing an orthotic boot on my left foot and lower leg to combat Charcot foot which is related to diabetes and neuropathy.

All i can say is if there is a history of diabetes in your family do take care of yourself.
