Hi It is not the whole CID but only a part of it that you need.
You used this:
cat /sys/block/mmcblk0/device/cid
but need this:
cat /sys/block/mmcblk0/device/serial
Mine looks like this f.i.:
caf0e169
But this works only up to a certain firmware specified in the PB626 internal SD Card fail thread.
