You're not being a troll, you're very much correct. I already knew about the Open Book and the only dealbreaker really is the DIY aspect. If someone sold a pre-built, ready to use version I'd snap it in an instant.
Unfortunately I don't think that's happening any time soon so I'll probably end up with some Kobo model unless someone chimes in with alternatives.
