I think it's more that not a lot of these are sold, especially in the U.S. It might be an indication that they are solid and owners don't want to part with them.
I don't know what size screen you're looking for, but the 6" PocketBook Touch HD3 covers everything but Audible files. It comes with a USB to headphone adapter for listening to (non-Audible) audio books and music (MP3s and M4b — whatever M4b is). It also has the TTS feature with multiple downloadable voices to read standard books to you. It can do this through Bluetooth, though I don't think I've ever tried the Bluetooth feature. From what I can see, Bluetooth seems to be a battery hog.
I like the PocketBook but it sounds like you may want an Android reader that will let you install Kindle's eReader app.
Edit: If you a want a six inch reader the Boox Poke 3 looks like it would check all the boxes. No USB to headphone adapter (don't know if one could be bought) but it does support Bluetooth for MP3s.
