Which pretty much describes e-ink.
(At least when the front light is not on.) Come to that, for a long time strong blacks were the holy grail for LCDs, but they're not doing too bad these days.
Of course some actual evidence behind these wonderfully strong assertions about what is supposedly best for everyone would be a good starting point.
