Different strokes for different folks. I do tend to do things a bit different from the norm. I think that most approach it as you do which is why Amazon and Apple don't seem particularly worried about competing with Calibre. I actually do get most of my books from Amazon, but I also tend to juggle a lot of books at a time and have pretty big to-be-read stacks that I like to look through in different ways.
