If Dr. D. WAS referring to you, then I agree that some assistance with foundational knowledge and terminology might help you find out what you want to know most efficiently. It would let you ask questions more clearly and better understand the answers. And many folks here are happy to help. Even some of the curmudgeons!
If you ask, I'm sure folks will point you to the many, many existing comprehensive threads on introductory topics like "What is E-Ink" and "What apps can read ebooks on a phone or tablet" or, even better, help you learn to use the forum search feature to find them yourself.
