Oh, BTW... one thing I got very used to with my current reading device (IPad Pro) is being able to launch an internet search from something on the text. I'm struggling through the Malazan Book of the Fallen and that's a huge help. So many characters, places, timelines and mentions to things that were never explained before that I spend half the time not knowing what on earth is going on

Fast searching inside a book would be very helpful but I'm not sure if my candidates have that either
I can't speak for the others, but I have a PocketBook Touch HD3 and it does do quick searches within the book and can be used to search for terms on the Internet (it open a Google search using the term highlighted). Be aware, however, that Internet look-ups on an eInk browser can be excruciatingly slow.
