Yeah, me too.
Fortunately Dropbox is more robust than Google Drive or OneDrive. In the case there is conflict in syncing, it doesn't delete your files, but creates two copies of the conflicted file (one of them named conflicted copy). So if you catch the error soon enough, it won't be hard to correct it. In addition Dropbox has 30 or 180-day (depending on the plan) file history and recovery. I've never needed to use this option, though. The few times I made a mistake and Dropbox created conflicted copies, I always found them quickly with the library check.
OneDrive now, that really just deleted my files, even when there was no conflict. OneDrive is very unreliable with a Calibre library.
