Asahi Glass is used for the front protective layer and, from I've seen of the specs, is very similar to Corning's Gorilla Glass. They can be flexed quite a bit. Remember those videos of iPhones being flexed? Their nameless glass front layer is similar to Gorilla Glass.
On the other hand, in the thread referenced by @ottischwenk, the owner of a Note 3 which has an Asahi Glass front layer has this to say:
