Problems with page breaks/blank pages/line spaces

Problems with page breaks/blank pages/line spaces

Hello,

X Fourth try. The original post was to the wrong forum and I was inststructed to move it to the General Forum. When I clicked on the link the post was not there to move, so I posted the second try in General. I then got a private message which was a tad snippy telling me that I could not cross post, had posted to the wrong forum and that my second and third tries were deleted and that the first post was posted to the correct forum. This one.

However in the meantime the problem had changed and the first, second, and third posts became irrelevant. So this:

Please feel free to delete the original post on this forum. Please do not delete this post.
Thank you.

Windows 7 64bit

First go around I had problems with certain pages where I want the content to appear all on one page on the screen; pages appeared properly in Calibre, were broken in Kobo Forma and Kindle.

Work around: make images of those pages, make .html files with those images. Worked for Kobo with e-pub, Kindle.

But for the main body of the text, mobi in Kobo (again, appeared correctly in Calibre) inserted extra line spaces for every line!

So the question now is: how to get rid of the extra line-spaces in mobi files?
And: Is there a better way to handle the no-page-break for this page problem?
