As an owner of both Kobo and Tolino ereaders, I find the reading experience on the Kobo to be superior. OTOH, since my ereaders live in the same bag as my laptop and iPad Pro, I don't find myself missing the jumping through hoops to install apps on the Tolinos.

The argument as to whether Linux or Android is a superior operating system is pretty much irrelevant to the reading experience.
