If true, this is extremely disappointing. The limitation of line drawing only on epubs is a no-go for me.
I guess the following is a different issue?

If that's true, that would kind of ruin the Elipsa for schoolbook PDFs or programming PDF books (from somewhere like O'Reilly) wouldn't it?

Maybe I don't fully understand the issue.

BTW, I note in your link that the Elipsa has a USB-C with OTG — so will it work with thumb drives and a keyboard?
