it looks like they sometimes release multiple devices in any given year:
- Kobo eReader and Kobo WiFi N289 in May and October 2010
- Kobo Glo N613 and Kobo Mini N705 in September 2012
- Kobo Aura HD N204B and Kobo Aura N514 in April and August 2013
- Kobo Glo HD N437 and Kobo Touch 2.0 N587 in May and September 2015
- Kobo Aura Edition 2 N236 and Kobo Aura One N709 in September 2016
- Kobo Clara HDN249 and Kobo Forma N782 in June and October 2018.
The problem is they don't always do that. So, I don't know if I should/can wait another 4 or 5 months to see if they do that this time. My active Kindle's battery now loses about 20% each day and the old one I use to download books just lost its entire charge in one day.

Yes I know all that. And I used that page to check. The point I was making to @RowdyRuff was that never had a two releases per year. If you look at the releases, you will see they rarely go three release time-slots in a row. And they do skip some years. While I think a replacement for the Forma or Clara HD is due, I don't think there will be one this year, but, I also have a terrible record for predictions

. If you need a device now, buy it now. But, that is my usual advice. Waiting for the upcoming magically perfect but not actually announced device usually leads to disappointment.
