I would be very tempted by this if it was 300 dpi, but I’m not willing to go below that as I know I would get obsessed with comparing the quality and be dissatisfied. I understand their decision though, I guess, as the lower res screen allows them to keep the price relatively low.

Nobody has a 300DPI eInk screen larger than 8". 227 PPI is the best you can get at these sizes. It works pretty well and doesn't really bother me moving between the two.
On Boox's stuff they make an attempt to keep your notes in the same place when you change the font size. Doesn't always do a good job so it will be interesting to see how Kobo does.
