In 1919 a hit silent movie was made of the 1918 title story, and in 1920 Curwood prepared a short story collection using "Back to God's Country" as a title and illustrated with stills from the movie. Unfortunately I couldn't find the appropriate stills. The stories are all set in the northwest of Canada, in the days of the Northwest Mounted Police, fur trapping, and snowed-in outposts.
