Returning an old HD7 to stock?

I've got an old HD7(tate), asked around on XDA but I suspect due to the age of the device the relevant files are no longer available -
It's currently running CM12.1
It has TWRP 2.8.7.0 installed
It does respond to ADB commands
I can enter fastboot but not issue commands, looks like none of my cables are factory
The CM12.1 rom had been sideloaded onto the device as a .zip and it will flash with TWRP
I don't appear to have root access according to ES file explorer
I can see the device in windows explorer
I managed to download the KFHD_SRT_v1.2.3 kit but again I'm stuck with no fastboot, could I maybe sideload the system.img file from there and flash that to get back to stock?

I suppose my main question is can I sideload a 7.2.3 stock rom and flash it with TWRP? if so where could I find one?
I've managed to acquire a copy of KFFaide but it looks like it's searching for unavailable dropbox files and isn't working .
I'd like to retain TWRP in case of future problems but I'm more fussed about getting it back to stock ideally.
I'm not going to buy a factory cable so any other solutions would be appreciated.
Bar the weight it's a great device and I'd like to return it to stock to play around with it I guess.
