Thank you. I like the Kindle app because most everything I have is there. The most recent book that raised the question (again) was an .epub file I downloaded and then converted to .mobi in the main Calibre program. I do have the kfx plugin installed. But, I am not following what you are referring to re KindleGen or Kindle Previewer. I would like to understand. In any case, transfer via iTunes works. Many hot links in the book seem to be are missing, but I don't know whether they were there to start with.
