If the .mobi file isn't DRM-protected, you could try and convert it to an .epub file and read it with Apple Books.
If you like the Kindle app, you could also try and convert the book to a .kfx file with Calibre and sideload it with iTunes.
BTW, if you generated the .mobi file yourself with KindleGen or Kindle Previewer, the .mobi file will also contain the source files unless you specified the
-dont_append_source parameter.
