Please note that calibre requires the DeDRM plugin to handle most AZW3 files. Sigil also requires removing DRM before using the KindleImport plugin which given that the current DeDRM code requires calibre since the command line version of DeDRM is deprecated, would require using calibre to import/DeDRM the ebooks.

I can't see Kobo supporting use of the DeDRM plugin with their apps or ereaders. IMNSHO, that would be a unwinnable lawsuit waiting to happen.
