In the UK Red ones are rarer, and therefore obviously better

Although the blue ones are unavailable, so I guess technically they are rarer. Everyone I see on the train has the standard Waterstones silver issue.

You should actually buy three - use the Silver one for SciFi, the Blue one for nautical stories, and the Red one for everything else.
