I think there may be something to it actually. There have been many books I read because I had enjoyed the movie and found the book more detailed. First of these was The Grapes of Wrath. They showed me the movie around 5th grade. A few years later I read the book and that started me reading more Classics.

I really must read Dean Spanley. The movie was great and I might have acquired the book on Kindle, have to check. I at least got a sample. Too many books, can't keep track!
