Or is there a way to just expand how the metadata is downloaded?

i.e. book is: "Grimoires and Where to Find Them (The Case Files of Henri Davenforth Book 6)"

Better to truncate the stuff within the parenthesis?

suggestions welcome.
I created a Custom Column: #subtitle << not needed in this case

Also Move the Series and Index to their proper place, Series: series name [6]

This issue is because over 10 years of mainstream e-readers, Series is still not a universal metadata field (most implementations are proprietary )
